Another year is about to end and I can honestly say that I am looking forward to next year. It's been interesting but I must say that I am glad it will end soon. With the recent loss of my mom, Daniel's two hospitalizations, and continuing my education it's been quite a ride. This coming year, I'm looking forward to traveling to New Mexico in March to get my certification to teach Mental Health First Aid. Hopefully, I will be able to travel to Washington D.C. in April to become a state trainer for NAMI Basics. Finally I have one more step to go to officially make Saving Daniel Foundation a non-profit. I'm hoping to officially and legally be a non-profit status by summer.
Daniel has been doing better. He recently made a connection with a sibling that he has never met. It will be a positive thing for him. I'm happy he has made that connection. We recently had an ARDs meeting and that is also looking positive. He is very fortunate to have a great team willing to help him succeed. I must say Daniel has so many things to be grateful for and I hope that he realizes how lucky he is to have so many supportive people in his life. Another thing, I would like to thank those that have contacted me via email. I appreciate the positive words of encouragement. I really don't know what I would do without your support. Thank you.
Merry Christmas and stay warm.
I want to share my favorite Christmas song..enjoy! (This one gets me all the time)
I'm a mother with an agenda to save her son from the grips of his mental illness and stop stigma so that those who suffer in silence can seek help without fearing the worse. Join me on this roller coaster ride..you're no longer alone.
