I have been looking for a video on YouTube to post on here about stigma and mental health. I saw a lot of them and found this one and liked it because it get's to the point. I wanted to share it with you.
I've been thinking about adding a page and asking my viewers to make a video about stopping stigma. Whether it's just a few encouraging words or a video like below. It's important that we get as many as we can to encourage ending mental health stigma. Submissions don't have to only be from people that are diagnosed with an illness. It can be from anyone that just understands and wants to join in.
I recommend you make your video and upload it to YouTube. Email me with your name, title of the video, link from YouTube, and a brief description of why you made the video. (e.g., brother/sister suffers, you're diagnosed, experienced stigma and so forth) The email is email@example.com. Video length should not be longer than 4 minutes. Please refrain from using any type of obscenities or vulgar language. I want to keep it clean. Once I start getting submissions, I will make the page and start posting them.
Have a great day!! Praying people get involved...it's the first step to stopping stigma.
I'm a mother with an agenda to save her son from the grips of his mental illness and stop stigma so that those who suffer in silence can seek help without fearing the worse. Join me on this roller coaster ride..you're no longer alone.
